Guidelines

Activities are only accepted if they feature a map and a working-URL activity link. Manual entries will not be accepted. For instance, someone who manually inputs they ran for an hour on the treadmill would not be eligible for acceptance in this collection.

For activities involving water, a map must be present.

Titles with offensive language are permitted; however, if the title suggests inappropriate or offensive behavior (i.e. racism, homophobic slurs, direct attacks on an individual, etc.) the editor holds the right to decline their entry. In other words, use best judgement.

About

It’s one thing to go for an epic ride or run. It’s another to name it something original.

This book will celebrate the best Strava titles in the Treasure Valley. The book is not meant to be studied as literature, but instead, read for enjoyment, kept as a coffee table conversation piece. With millions of athletes currently using Strava and immersed in the “record-your-activity” culture that Strava essentially created, this collection of titles will promote creative writing and personal fitness. Knowing that their titles could possibly be selected for this collection, athletes all over the Treasure Valley (or possibly the world, at some point) will be motivated to come up with something unique or comical to slap on to that epic ride or run.

Top 200 Activity Titles

Let's face it, "Morning Ride" and "Afternoon Run" are boring as hell. Maybe you were chased by a goose. Maybe a redneck cut you off and covered you in exhaust. Maybe you snagged 12 KOMs in one effort. Or maybe you were just picking up some beer from the supermarket. These are the titles we want to see. Letting a computer name your workout is just plain wrong. Maybe even illegal. So, send us your epic titles that were just as deserved as that all-out activity.

Awards

Aside from our Top 200 Activity Titles, we will be awarding:

- Top 3 Longest Rides

- Top 3 Longest Runs

- Top 3 Most-Elevated Rides

- Top 3 Most-Elevated Runs

- Best of of the Dump Loop Puns

- and possibly more

Photography

We also like breaking up the monotony of reading 200 titles in a row. So, send us your favorite Treasure Valley photographs taken during your activities and we will feature a few of them in the collection. Creativity ain't just about writing. So if you're photographically-inclined, hit us up. (Tasteful nudes will be considered).
